Haarlem is located on the west side of Amsterdam. The city has a particular structure north-south, but both physically and in terms of social or infrastructure is separated by the railroad. Our strategy follows this idea of expanded boundaries by means o f connections. A network of junctions ( synapse ) will be capable of interacting with the railway network and the city itself. In addition to the important role that such points of contact may play in our proposal we intend to reinforce this contact on different scale levels. Thus by creating a new programmatic set up for a crossing point along the railway network.
